Then there’s Ostin: which his mother missed spelled his name because they were born in Texas. Let’s get to know our characters a little better! Michael: he is our protagonist of the story and leader of the group call: The Electroclan. And so the quest continues in the second book… But, then they had to go on this big quest to find Michael’s mother. So then the gunman kidnap his mother and took her to this academy.įrom there on, Michael and Ostin found Taylor and got her free. So Taylor look up this school they heard of and they got caught. Because, he knows about Michael’s power and also because Taylor who is a cheerleader at school helps him because they have the same power. As they were getting done with dinner they walk out and a gunman is standing outside the door waiting for them. Then, Michael his Mom, and Ostin, his best friend all went out to dinner together to celebrate his big thirteenth birthday. Which we also find out that his Dad somehow tragically died when he was five years old. And, he got a watch as a present from his Mom because it used to belong to his Dad. We also find out that he has these superpowers that when he wants too he can eltcuate them! During, the first novel he turns thirteen. In the first book we find out that our main character Michael is the only kid in the family! And, so he lives with his mother. Michael Vey Rise of the Elgen is a second book to the Michael Vey series written by Richard Paul Evans! 🔻 & some parts was just a plain dialogue.Ĭommon factors in : Michael Vey book 1 review 🔻 some parts had more middle grade-ish vibes than I expected.

🔺 but from time to time, I just burst out laughing, by a Quote from Jack, Michael or Zeus. 🔻 the writing style had less amount of jokes rather than the first book (Michael didn't joke about the plot was going on & it was just like a plain journal at some points) Michael, I like you! you strong, badass, sarcastic (but less than the 1st book), brave little soldier! I was going to give it 3 stars, but this ending, this much excitements, definitely deserved more.

& when it happened, I was like 'OMG, YESSSSS! FINALLY!' *internally screaming!* I mean the last 120 pages) everything was breathtaking! 🔻 the beginning was a bit slow (but cute) & in the middle was a bit boring.
